Why sign petitions?

For many, it is useless. For others, it’s the way to collect people’s personal information.

Here’s why at Wildlife Revolution NGO we think it’s important.

Let’s go back to another subject. How are decisions made regarding animal protection?
Every year, government leaders meet at CITES, a convention where the protection of each species is decided. To determine the need for protection of a species, researchers present data collected in the field, hunters and different lobbies with an interest in hunting present their arguments and NGOs present their justifications and the opinion of citizens on the issue. This is where petitions become important. The higher the number of signatures, the higher the weight of petitions. The lobbies are very powerful, each signature counts!
Rest assured, we do not use your personal data in any way and do not communicate it to anyone.
